April 2021 Newsletter
Dear Hunters Glen Families,
Spring is definitely here with snow on Tuesday morning and 70s by Friday! We want to again thank our families and community for keeping any students home that aren’t feeling well and following local guidelines in regards to staying healthy! With your continued support, we can continue to have a safe and successful rest of the school year!
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade families should have received an email from the school with updates about state testing. Please ensure you review that email if it pertains to your family. The Federal Government has approved Colorado’s request to reduce required testing. We are excited that we can continue to provide additional instruction to students with less testing. Please contact the school if you have any additional questions once you have reviewed the updates in the email.
While the weather is looking warm and sunny for the next few weeks, please remember to have your child dress appropriately for the weather, especially when it is cool in the mornings. We value recess every year at Hunters Glen, but especially this year so that the students can have additional time without masks on.
A reminder, that while many of us have our own dogs and other animals at home, it is Adams 12 District Policy that no dogs or other animals are allowed on school property, especially during arrival and dismissal time. Thank you for your understanding.
Thursday, April 22nd is Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day. Traditionally, Adams 12 supports our students learning about professions and looking at their future. While a form will be sent home soon if you are choosing to have your child participate, we are recommending that you do not participate in this day due to COVID. Successful completion of the form will still result in an excused absence if you choose to have your child participate.
Traditionally, Hunters Glen has always had several celebrations to end the year that have included Field Day and special events for our Kindergarten and 5th Grade students. We are still awaiting guidance from the district on what events can continue and how they can be safely conducted. While there are no set plans as we await guidance, please know that we will do our best to continue these celebrations, while still following our COVID protocols.
If you ever have any questions, concerns, or points of clarification, please never hesitate to contact the school. Thank you for your support!
