May 2021 Newsletter
Dear Hunters Glen Families,
May is upon us and there is an end in sight to this challenging year. Thank you again to all of our families for keeping sick children at home and communicating with our staff about sickness. Due to your help, we are continuing to have a successful 2nd semester!
Now that April has passed, it is that time of year that we are still working hard for all of our students for this year, but we also start planning for next year. It is bittersweet that I recognize Mrs. Katie Telgenhoff and share that after 30 years of teaching, she has decided to retire. I cannot express how valuable Mrs. Telgenhoff has been to the students and staff at Hunters Glen. If your child has had the opportunity to be in her class, I know you will join me in recognizing her amazing ability to connect with our youngest students and help them develop academically, socially, and behaviorally. Mrs. Telgenhoff is a tremendous loss for Hunters Glen, but I know her legacy of always putting students first will carry on. Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Telgenhoff on her retirement!
As mentioned earlier, this has been such a challenging year for all involved. COVID has changed our society so drastically. However, I want to express my sincere gratitude to our staff, students, and parents for embracing the challenge of the year! As we near the end of this year, I am proud of the perseverance and resilience that our staff and students have demonstrated this year. Thank you to all of our staff and students for their hard work and determination. Thank you as well to all of our parents and guardians who had to change schedules, become teachers at home, and who have supported your child. Hunters Glen is an amazing place to be!
A reminder, that while many of us have our own dogs and other animals at home, it is Adams 12 District Policy that no dogs or other animals are allowed on school property, especially during arrival and dismissal time. Thank you for your understanding.
If you ever have any questions, concerns, or points of clarification, please never hesitate to contact the school. Thank you for your support!
