If your son or daughter would like to participate in the parade of schools, please be at the stadium before 11:40. They are not required to be a part of the parade.
I am also still in need of help on the field to take attendance, take teams to the staging area for their race, and to help make sure the students get back to where their parents are at in the stadium. To help with getting your son or daughter back to you, please let them know or show them where you will be sitting and/or have them meet you at the entrance to the track at field level when their race is over. If they are only running one race, they are free to go after they come back to the schools area on the field to receive their ribbon from their teammate and get a team picture taken for our schools slide show during field day. We are typically located in the southwest corner of the field near the finish line.
Parking is also hard to find during the event. I will try to send home a map of the stadium and the different place you could park. If you have any questions or would like to help out on the field, please call me at 720-972-5453 or send me an email.
In the event of extreme weather (heavy snow or rain, lightning, tornado warnings, etc.) please call our weather line at (720) 977-5908 for the latest information on the status of the event. Once a decision has been made to delay or cancel the event, the first thing they will do is update this message. In case of a lightning delay, we ask everyone to wait in their car for 20 minutes, and then call the weather line for an update.
