I am honored to continue to be part of the Hunters Glen Elementary Community! Hunters Glen is a very community based school, with supportive families, and a staff that truly cares for each student.
I graduated from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio with a degree in Early Childhood Education with a Reading Endorsement. I have taught a variety of elementary grades and subjects, including Kindergarten, Second and Third Grade, and Title reading. I taught three years in Virginia and earned a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Literacy/Reading from George Mason University. After moving back to Ohio to teach, I earned my Educational Administration Degree from The Ohio State University. I have been fortunate to work in a variety of school settings from rural to suburban/urban as well as schools with more affluent communities to Title I schools with over 60% of students on free or reduced lunch. These variety of experiences have allowed me to form a wide base of knowledge that enhances my decision making ability to ensure students are the focus and are achieving academically, behaviorally, and socially.
I look forward to continue to lead the outstanding staff at Hunters Glen to continue the great work that is being done as well as bringing in new ideas that will help all students achieve. I hope to continue to involve the school community and to ensure that all feel welcome within the walls of Hunters Glen Elementary.
