Hunters Glen Elementary students are PAWsitively great
At Hunters Glen Elementary, we are highlighting students for "Bears of the Month" based on our school traits. Each month all HGE staff members (Classroom Teachers, Specialists, Paraprofessionals, etc.) nominate students who go above and beyond with embodying our building-wide traits: Safety, Kindness, Responsibility, Dignity and Perseverance.
Staff members submit why they chose their selected students, and often give specific examples and personal stories celebrating selected students. By the end of the year, the goal is to have every student at HGE nominated for a trait. This system has really empowered our students and gives us a chance to highlight our community values school-wide!
This story exemplifies our ELEVATE Focus Area: 21st Century Learners. Sharing stories of students who collaborate, think critically, problem-solve and are digitally literate to thrive in today’s ever-changing world.
