Hunters Glen gets into the holiday spirit by giving back
The holiday season is a time for giving! On December 20th, 3rd grade students in Mrs. Derus’ classroom prepared 75 sack lunches to donate to The Samaritan House Homeless Shelters (they provide breakfast and dinner, but not lunch). We appreciate how teachers like Mrs. Derus empower students and show them how they can make a difference! We have no doubt they will do great things in this community!
This story exemplifies our ELEVATE Focus Area: 21st Century Learners. Sharing stories of students who collaborate, think critically, problem-solve and are digitally literate to thrive in today’s ever-changing world.
