I grew up in southwest Michigan, spending my summers on the water. After high school I moved with my now husband to various parts of the country while he served in the Marine Corps. On a random snowboarding vacation we fell in love with Colorado and decided we would move here to go to college. We landed at the University of Colorado Boulder where we earned our bachelor's degrees and got completely sucked into Colorado life. Never looking back, we now live in Thornton with our four year old daughter, our two year old son, and our two dogs.
This year marks my 8th year of teaching. I spent my first four years as a third grade teacher in Jeffco Public Schools and I am so excited to begin my fourth year as a fourth grade teacher at Hunters Glen. I am currently enrolled in CU Boulder's graduate school where I am studying to earn my master's degree in educational equity and cultural diversity. I have a passion for helping each child find and build on their love of learning and reach their fullest potential. I am looking forward to this 2020-2021 school year, and all of the excitement it is bringing with it!
