I love being a member of the Hunters Glen community! The first time I walked through the door of the school I had a sense that it would be a place where I would feel at home, and grow professionally. The students and families in this community have made a lasting impression on me, and there is no place I would rather be! As the Social Emotional Learning specialist here, I get to spend every day focusing on how we at Hunters Glen can ensure that the young people who walk through our door every day leave with a greater sense of who they are and how to navigate the complex feelings and skills involved in navigating through life. I am blessed to walk alongside a staff who put the social and emotional development of our students at the center their teaching.
I grew up in Nebraska and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor's in Social Sciences. I completed my teaching licensure program at the University of Colorado-Denver with a Master's in Special Education. My husband and I met while working at a ski resort, and after starting our family in the mountains, we moved to the Front Range. We now live in Brighton, where I taught middle school for 9 years before coming to Hunters Glen, and we are active members of our community. We have three sons and enjoy biking, camping, walking our dogs, and watching Marvel movies together. When I have time to decompress, you'll find me snuggled up with a book, or if the weather is nice, in my garden.
