I grew up in southwest Michigan, spending my summers on the water. After high school I moved with my now husband to various parts of the country while he served in the Marine Corps. On a random snowboarding vacation we fell in love with Colorado and decided we would move here to go to college. We landed at the University of Colorado Boulder where we earned our bachelor's degrees and got completely sucked into Colorado life. Never looking back, we now live in Thornton with our five year old daughter, our three year old son, and our three dogs.
This year marks my 9th year of teaching. I spent my first four years as a third grade teacher and I am so excited to begin my fifth year as a fourth grade teacher at Hunters Glen. I am currently enrolled in CU Boulder's graduate school where I am studying to earn my master's degree in educational equity and cultural diversity. I have a passion for helping each child find and build on their love of learning and reach their fullest potential. I am looking forward to this 2021-2022 school year, and all of the excitement it is bringing with it!
